I recently posted my 3 hours long 30 sec. loop animation on youtube. Hope you like the small details and dont get to stressed about the cable/wires around ;).
Overall Process
I rendered out single 4k images of the scene with the lights on and with the lights off in Maya. In maya i would then make greenscreens (AIMatte) where i would replace with animated parts. I made several animations with Maya and After Effects and put them together inside Fusion Blackmagic and created 30 sec. looping versions of each 3 animated part (lights on, switch from lights on to off and lights off).
With the 3 parts rendered out from fusion as EXR files (lights On, Lights Off and the switch) I exported them out as .MOV master files from premiere (they where each around 3GB just for 30 sec.). I did this to cut down export time since i could render fast with sequence preview render and a fully 3 hour MOV format would be way to big of a file (somewhere around 1TB for 3 hours).
In Premiere I then importing the 3 master files, dublicate them out for the fully 3 hours and added the sound made from Audition for the final MP4 version for youtube. The final 4k resolution MP4 file is only 36.1GB and was rendered out at about 2hour30min. and can easy upload to youtube (upload while offline around 11-12 hours for the final 4K version).
