September 2028 (3D Animation)

My take on how we live in a future only a few years from now. If this actually happens in 2028 I want you to remember that i called it first ;).

My main objective for this project was the animation. The animation style was pretty much what I had in mind, and it really made animation time fast since its very "forgiving" and allowed me to do a rather "ugly" animation since its clearly not Disney or Dreamworks.

There was a lot of new learning and re-learning with this project. From exporting from Maya LT to Blender.. Blender itself (I am a Pro Maya user), rigging (I tried mayas Auto-rig, but ended up doing it myself anyway), Photogrammetry in Meshroom for the shoes and much more.
I believe I spend approx 3 month time on this project, and I am really happy about the results.

Please enjoy, and have a nice day.

Best viewed with headphones on.

Video reference for animation

Timelapse of some of the work for the main character. Special thanks for "CtrlAultdDelTutorials" Character Rigging Tutorials for refreshing my rigging memory.

Texturing of the Zombie was the most fun I had during the project.

I had a hard time figuring out if I should do my own sound recordings and what software to use. But then I tried out Adobe Audition and it had all the stuff I needed, awesome software.

Most assets/props was made just good enough to stay in the background. However this hammer asset came out pretty nice.
